The Mary Mackillop Centre

Salty breath brushes past my face and into the fresh spring air. We are at the Mary Mackillop centre learning about the Josephite sisters, well we were learning, but now we are eating our yummy lunch and looking at a marvelous view of Rangitoto.

The sparkling water glitters in the sunlight and the lapping waves makes the light blue wrinkle gracefully. The half asleep volcano has a foggy dark green colour that slopes up and down. The trees on the volcano stands proud and tall in their own little families.

When I look at the soft light green grass, I know that it is a sign of God’s love for us, and that I am fortunate to have a home, friends and a family that love me. The sun shines over the blowing lush green leaves that fall gracefully upon the earth.

Then I hear laughing and screaming, I turn my head and see lots of children running around and playing games. The shouts of children are loud and happy it makes me want to dance around like a butterfly.

I know that God has a loving guidance that looks after the old sisters, and I pray that I will one day be like them!
